Sailing Again at Silvermere – 5th November 2025

Dear Skippers
I’m pleased to report that the weed has gone and the water level at the Getty is 17 inches. Today the 5th November 5 Victoria and DF65 yachts tested the lake and all skippers reported all was good for sailing.
At 17 inches it is about deep enough for IOM yachts. However we plan to arrange a Small Boat series using Victoria’s and DF 65 yachts in the near future.
Some good news at last.

Regards Grahame.

Victoria race day 6th November 2024 cancelled due to poor forecast wind conditions.

Dear Victoria Skippers as the wind forecast for this coming Wednesday 6th November is again 1 mph we have decided to postpone Victoria racing for the second week in a row. We will gather as last week and sail power and chat modelling matters.
Dates will be advised once wind conditions are forecast to be more favourable for yacht racing.

Richard C & Grahame P.

Victoria race day 30th October 2024 cancelled due to poor forecast wind conditions.

Dear Victoria Skippers.
It has been decided because of the weather forecast for Wednesday 30th of October which confirms only 1 MPH wind, that racing will be cancelled and a date will be rescheduled ,when conditions are more suitable.
We will gather however and you are most welcome to sail if you wish with power models or yachts if you have the patience .

Regards Richard C. and Grahame P.
