Faux Boiler – to cover a standard motor up to 800 size.

This was in a launch that I purchased, it was covering a 500 motor. I replaced it with a real boiler and steam engine. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to simulate a coal fired boiler. If you want to build a steam launch using electric propulsion then this could be for you. It is 7″ long by 2 1/2″ wide and 10″ tall.

Caldercraft Imara – twin screw project

I bought this as a project, one too many for me to complete, plus I already have three of these tugs! So, I am offering it for sale to someone with the time and skill to bring it to life. It has been built to a reasonable standard but needs a lot of re-work especially on the deck.
You can see that whoever built it was not thinking about access to the electrics, or steam plant. There are also a lot of loose parts, and other items that need repair, but not beyond the abilities of most experienced modellers.
She is well on the way to being completed, so can be on the water by summer. When finished she will make a lovely tug for someone to enjoy.

Club Night Tonight 11th March 2023

Due to works being undertaken at the Waterside Bar at Silvermere we are obliged to change the venue to somewhere else in the bar area – either at the far end of the bar or maybe in the Members room (also at the far end of the bar area!). But it does mean that the talk booked for the evening has had to be postponed for a few months. Therefore we hope it will take place on the October Club Night.
